Read somewhere that bringing a product to the market is no less strenous then waging a war and like in war you need to keep your product LIVE!

And thats where the importance of a logo design lies. Logo is the most important marketing tool, often neglected by most of the smaller businesses, to keep you brand active and fresh in the mind of users. The color, the punchline, wrapping etc must be totally different, innovative and eye catching.

Shape of logo plays an important role and it either has to relate to your business or your brand name. Similarly color needs to be catchy but not too awkward for logo. Its better to do a survey sometime with end users to get an idea on the liking and disliking – end of the day their perception matters.

Logo is a must to build brand image because it conveys the qualities and thoughts of the business to the people.

US Government is using Idea Scale to get consensus and create some new innovative ideas to spur IT. IdeaScale, which is a crowdsourcing tool produced by Survey Analytics, is gaining serious traction as a crowdsourcing tool for government agencies. As on date more than 23 agencies in the U.S. Federal Government are using IdeaScale to power crowdsourcing initiatives.

Idea Scale allows people to submit their ideas and then people can continously vote for each idea so the most voted idea keeps getting to the top.

Similar to Idea Scale in concept is One Billion Minds in India where people think, ideate, solve, win and help create a difference. More on the social front, One Billion Minds is an excellent concept to help solve social issues.

Crowdsourcing is slowly getting a few followers.

Organize your content to complement marketing

We have heard many times that despite getting SEO, page optimization etc done the traffic on website either doesnt increase or if does it isnt maintained. The key reason is the content.

How your content is structured plays a major role in making your website a success or a failure. Users these days dont have time to go into details of the content and only scan through your web page and grasp the key words. Its only if these keys words can build in the required interest that you kind of force the user to go through the content.

Designers or content writers many a times even work on excellent content but neglect the headings, sub headings, bullets, key words etc and miss to convey the key message in the short time that user logs in on website.

Another thing which is widely neglected is use of old and incorrect content. Your content is what will build trust in your brand and so accuate data is extremely important. Importantly the content should also match with the overall theme of your website.

Budget to hire a web gardener as part of your team. You need somebody to root out the weeds and replant the flowers as the website changes but most people would rather spend their time creating new content than on maintenance. In practice, maintenance is a cheap way of enhancing the content on your website since many old pages keep their relevance and should be linked into the new pages. Of course, some pages are better off being removed completely from the server after their expiration date - Jakob Nielsen

Just organize your content well enough to ensure all your marketing efforts can yield results.
